Marriage general requirements:
1. Must be a practicing and active Catholic, attending Mass weekly, receiving Holy Eucharist weekly, and confessing regularly.
2. Must have received Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist). Please notify Father Lupe if there is an issue with this.
3. Bride/groom and his/her family must be registered in the parish.
4. Must have respect for the laws of the Church.
5. If another priest or deacon from outside the parish is presiding over the wedding, his credentials are required to verify that everything is in line with the requirements of the Church and his bishop, as well as to obtain permission from the home pastor.
6. Weddings are not performed during Lent, as this is a season of penance, not celebration.
7. The celebration is normally held no later than 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Another time can be scheduled, but it must first be arranged with the priest.
